GREENGUARD Certificate

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is a third-party organization accredited by ISO-IEC Guide 65:1996. It accomplishes this through setting its own standards for green certification, which are used to certify products and materials that produce low chemical emissions. The institute, as a valuable resource, provides information on healthy materials to be used in different indoor environments. To gain a green certification, a product must first meet standards based on established criteria from agencies such as the World Health Organization and the United States Department of Health and Human Services National Toxicology Program.

When a product bears GREENGUARD certification, it means that it’s been tested for more than 10,000 different chemicals and only the most harmless ones are allowed. It hasn’t just met indoor air quality limits, but is also meant for indoor spaces.
